In 2006, Americans generated about 250 million tons of trash. Much of that trash is made up of urban wood residues. Urban wood residues include construction and demolition (C&D) waste, wooden pallets, packaging materials, furniture and cabinets, yard and tree trimmings, land clearing residues and other forms of waste that are primarily wood. Urban wood residue typically goes to landfills and takes up valuable landfill space that would otherwise be available for less useful forms of waste. We provide solutions for converting urban wood residues into electricity. We strongly believe that good waste should not be put to waste. Rather, it should be put to good use to benefit communities by reducing pollution, minimizing landfills and generating electricity.
